BioMaya is the daughter of an Englishman and a Hindu lady of the highest caste. Needless to say, she is considered inferior to both cultures. They both died in mysterious circumstances, possibly by the hand of an unnamed enemy, later revealed to be Shivani, Priestess of the Goddess Kali-Durga, and Maya's aunt. She fled to England to hide, and hopefully learn her magic, which her mother, though a powerful sorceress, could not teach her, as it flowed from her father's blood. There, she found a mentor and friend in Peter Scott, a former ship's captain turned importer, and an Elemental Master, one of Water. He informed Maya that her power was of Earth, and taught her the proper use of it. During their lessons, they fell in love and were eventually married. Maya predominantly uses her powers to Heal, though they have myriad other applications. She has seven pets, inherited from her mother, who are much more than they seem.
